Remembering Edna

I was invited to make a collection of works relating the famous garden landscaper and gardener Edna Walling.

Creating paint brushes from my own garden as an acknowledgment and celebration of being both artist and gardener, landscaper and mark maker.

Inside a Perspex display-box I created a three-dimensional, Edna Walling-like, sculpted garden installation. Playing with the shapes, colours and forms Walling often painted her designs using watercolour I built up a design of my own garden along with stone walls, a Hill’s Hoist clothesline and a pizza oven replica of the one we built in our own garden.
