Animal Floral Tributes

When I find a dead animal, whether it be a deeply beloved pet of mine, or wildlife left on the roadside, I have a desire to honour their life using flowers. Maybe it comes from years doing floristry work, or my deep love of both animals and flowers, or simply my need to process the passing of a perfect creature from this world?

I decorate the bodies of deceased animals with flowers from my garden, giving myself the chance to sit with them a little bit longer, shrouding their body before I bury them in the garden.
