The Last Resort

The Last Resort.

When there was nowhere left to go, they instinctively came together. Different species on the brink of extinction still held to the hope that they could bring one more generation into the world. Maybe things would get better? They built nests, tightly woven places, lined with fur and moss to safely incubate and raise their young.

The Last Resort is the place they went, when there was nowhere else to go. Escaped from their lost habitats, the prowling of feral animals and the constantly rising temperature the last birds, marsupials, mammals, insects and reptiles built their nests, tucked themselves away in the underbelly of a three-legged ‘machine’ that could lift them up to safety, for now.
